The University City Lions defeated the Normandy Vikings October 31, 2008 at Viking Stadium.  The game ended regulation play 28-28.  University City Branden Walker scored on a 12 yard run to put the Lions ahead 34-28.  Kenny Williams later added the extra point to make the score 35-28.  The Lions turned up the pressure on defense when they denied the Vikings a first down in overtime.  LIONS WIN! LIONS WIN! 35-28.  The Normandy Vikings entered the contest 9-0, while the University City Lions were 4-5.  The Vikings are representatives of the Suburban East Conference while the Lions are members of the Suburban South Conference.
